Let's Talk About No, Shall We?

Feeling pulled in a million different directions?

Let me introduce you to my friend, No.

I say it all the time, No. is a full and complete sentence. For some reason, we have all been trained to say Yes, even if it is not suitable for us in the first place.

A lot of times No. is characterized as a negative way to approach things. I disagree.

We need to say No to the things we do not want to do so that we can say Yes to the important things in our lives.

Important? Yes, important.

Think about it. What is more important in your life right at this moment, taking on one more project to prove you are a team player or declining the project so you are able to go to your child's dance recital.

I read an article about Gen Z being the ones that have changed the workforce. I think No it is we mighty Gen Xers that came in and said we will have balance in our lives and we will say No. Especially as Gen X hits our mid-career stride.
