Topic: St. Mary Magdalene received a whole new life thanks to Jesus and beautifully enough, He was the first one she appeared to when He resurrected. Stricken by grief of losing Him, when Mary Magdalene saw Jesus resurrected, she didn’t want to let go. Who wouldn’t!? But Jesus had to compassionately tell her to let go for His mission was not yet complete. The best part was yet to come only if He ascended back into heaven. And same for us. How often do we hold onto what we know, what is comfortable, out of fear of the unknown? Jesus wants to reassure us, the unknown is where beauty and goodness is, the best part is always yet to come. May we find time to listen in the quiet, to allow Jesus to lead us into the unknown where He wants to lead us…because it’s always going to be what’s best for us.
