Topic: St. James is who we are remembering in a special way today, one of Jesus' 12 disciples. Upon being asked to join Jesus, James' mom asked Jesus that her two sons (James and John) will be 'at the top' with Jesus in His Kingdom. Jesus' response...the first shall be last and the last shall be first. In His Kingdom, service is what gets you to the top, to experience the delights of heaven. I definitely used to seek out accolades, awards, recognition, and position in my professional life...but boy, it was an endless cycle of wanting more with no true fulfillment. Truly, seeking serve brings that fulfillment and deeper purpose to our life - we pray that you will experience the same.
