Does God ever hurt people?

God is commonly viewed as a man who always supports us and helps us with our problems. He got mad at people before, but that was during the Old Testament. Thanks to Jesus' sin, he has no reason to treat us badly anymore.

However, the Bible says that God is unchanging (Mal. 3:6), so if he punished people for sin in the past, he would still punish sinners now, right?

Let's find out if God only does good.
