Two Theories Affecting Modern Warfare?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare has had its issues in the past couple of days but now a few new theories are popping up. The two theories that players are wondering about are, does cosmetic items affect matchmaking and bullet hit connections. Still no word from Activision or Infinity Ward about these two issues.
