Cave Springs sits in the scenic Oak Creek Canyon and is one of Coconino National Forest's most popular campgrounds. The campground is nestled in a forested canyon near the town of Sedona, AZ, and its famous red rock cliffs. The scenery is unmatched, the stream is stocked with trout, and swimming, hiking, and birding spots are nearby.

There are 82 single family sites (max 8 people). Cave Springs has 16 sites that sit along Oak Creek. The "A" loop has 21 sites that are available by reservation only. All of the sites include a grill, fire pit, and a tent pad. Cave Springs can accommodate RVs up to 36 ft. Cave Springs does not have have hookups. Drinking water, showers, and vault toilets are provided for convenience. Cave Springs also has a store on site that sells snacks, camping supplies, and a fresh cup of brewed coffee.
