Al Gore when he ran, was mocked for saying the words lock box, and what he was saying there is that we cannot allow the general fund to borrow money from social security. Which happened and George W Bush went into filing cabinet room and said like this is just a piece of paper it's just written on a piece of paper it doesn't mean anything. It was actually like a treasury note which we have never defaulted on they wanted to default on what we borrowed from the social security trust fund, and we should have had a lock box but the next thing is like, let's pretend that that money that comes in for social security funds social security and let's use that to pay off the tax cuts we gave to rich people. That's it that's what they want to do. Reminder and we had someone call in and say how do you get how do you stop yourself from being black pill and I understand it's hard, but the Democratic Party has come some way on this topic in particular because people forget that Obama wanted to reduce social security and reduce the benefits that social security provided as a way to strike a deal with Mitch McConnell. Yep after 2012, it was basically made politically impossible for him to do so because it should be the third rail of politics as has been discussed and he re-evaluated his position on that. Well, the Democrats in the senate also voted it was a non-binding resolution to increase social security benefits rather than cut them via the cost of living increases…
