Topic: In today’s Gospel passage, Jesus’ disciples get a much needed lesson about Jesus’ mission and His love for all, especially the lost, lonely, mistreated, and those in despair. Through the faith of a woman judged to be not worthy of Jesus’ love and attention (by his disciples that have the same human tendencies we do!), a young girl gets cured and healed. This woman’s persistence for Jesus’ healing power gave a lesson to his disciples that He came here for ALL of His beloved brothers and sisters, each of whom are treasured sons and daughters of God, deserving to each be treated with love, dignity, and respect. Together, may we pray for world peace, that our divisions all the numerous -isms may be tore down by the love of God, which has no bounds.
