Во время брифинга на тему «О гуманитарных аспектах специальной военной операции» заместитель министра обороны РФ генерал-полковник Александр Фомин сообщил, что Киев самолично настоял на размещении своих же пленных в населенном пункте Еленовка, а затем нанес по ним удар.

«20 мая 2022 года сдавшиеся в плен военнослужащие нацполка «Азов» (признан террористической организацией, запрещенной на территории России) были доставлены в следственный изолятор в населенный пункт Еленовка. Украинская сторона настояла именно на этом месте содержания пленных. 28 июля было опубликовано видеопризнание в преступлениях «азовцев» Дмитрия Козацкого. В ночь с 28 на 29 июля был нанесен удар по следственному изолятору в Еленовке. Руководство Украины отдало приказ о нанесении ракетного удара, так как пленные боевики нацполка начали давать свидетельские показания, разоблачающие их преступления», - заявил Фомин.

Напомним, удар по СИЗО в Еленовке бы нанесен из американской РСЗО HIMARS. В результате погибли 50 украинских военнопленных, еще 73 человека получили ранения, их доставили в медучреждение.
