This episode we visit Andrew at Williams Automotive Kelowna to remove the Allison 1000 6speed Transmission to inspect and replace the Flex-plate that might be cracked and causing the knock sound. With the Allison transmission removed this gave opportunity to install a performance Low-Stall Torque Converter from Suncoast Diesel out of Florida. Went with the GM-107X-3D billet triple-disc low stall 1800 RPM tight stator designed for towing applications. Paired with the Suncoast Performance Diesel LBZ/LMM billet counter-balanced flex-plate.

With changing to a 1800 RPM Low Stall performance stator from the OEM's 2200 RPM stator I hope to see a fuel mileage improvement, which could pay for itself over the next 100k miles as I drive across North America racing superbikes and enjoying dirtbike nomad adventures.
