Resistance: Fall of Man (2006) was developed by Insomniac and published by Sony

Way back in the gaming universe of 2006, Sony was still looking for it's "Halo Killer" and felt Resistance would be it. While a very good game by itself, it lacked the fluid multiplayer that made Halo famous, and thus Halo retained it's crown in the console multiplayer FPS realm. This does not mean Resistance was bad, in fact, it was extremely well made and very fun to play even today! While the online multiplayer is long dead (Via Sony killing it out of spite for Insomniac shortly after releasing the Resistance Trilogy box set!) the couch co-op, and single player are solid ways to experience this great title
Being developed by Insomniac you will see some similarities between this and Ratchet and Clank. Certain vehicle designs carry over and the fast-paced action with the now common weapon wheel are present, however in those days the weapon wheel was a novel idea for the problem that affected many titles on console where you carry more than two weapons. Some games don't stand the test of time for many reasons such as bad controls, outdated mechanics, poor visuals, or buggy gameplay, Resistance: FoM survives and should be rebooted.

Resistance: Fall of Man is available on PlayStation 3

I will give my rating for the game once it is completed based off of my new and simple rating system. The game will get one of five ratings based solely on my experience while playing through it: Horrible (rare rating), Bad, Average, good, and Great (rare rating).
