Sparing the Enemy - 1 Samuel 24:2-8, 10-15, 17-22

In the wilderness of Engedi, David discovered that Saul was in a very vulnerable position. He could stab him in seconds and get rid of his enemy once and for all.

However, as this poem shows, David actually spared the man who wanted to kill him, displaying the righteousness that would later define his reign.
