Things Aren’t Exactly Going as Planned | Traveling Off-Grid in our Ram SHORT-BODY VAN

We’ve made it to San Carlos, Mexico, but things aren't exactly going the way we planned. After much planning and double checking the systems in the van, things still seem to be going wrong.

Our composting toilet is smells like an outhouse and we can’t fill our water tank in the van at the local aqua purficada. Matt had a system to fill the tank from 5 gallon garfons in case a hose-fill wasn’t available. But, while make upgrades to the van, he moved the batteries and now he can’t hook up the water pump.

Join us as we sort out the typical things that can go wrong once you’re out on the road.

In spite of the hick-ups, we enjoy magical walks on the beach, paddling our new inflatable kayak, and seeing a baby-sea-turtle release at sunset.
