Avalanche! ~ Digging Up Family Tragedy//1962 Twin Lakes Snowslide//Traveling in our RamPromaster 136

We're on a local adventure-turned-family-mystery.
After joining up with Kristina's sister, Ingrid, and her husband, Andy we head to Leadville and Twin Lakes. Our beautiful, high-elevation adventure turns into a search for Andy's grandparent's grave.

As the story unfolds we learn that Andy's grandparents and two of their children were caught in the fatal 1962 avalanche in the mining town of Twin Lakes. His grandparents survived, but their two young sons perished under the snow.

What started out as a search for the graves of the children and the recent graves of his grandparents turns to a journey into the fatal event and the heroic volunteers who came to this small town's rescue.

Make sure to join us on the road as we continue our travels here and abroad with our two doggies, Jessie and Lily-Bell.
