Leo Reel owned State Wide Truck Lines, Inc.
He was contracted to haul The largest Steel Vessel ever moved by truck from Wyatt Metal Iron Works Houston to the Houston Ship Channel and
Float it to Brownsille Texas Refrinery.
It was floated Down the Intercoastal Canal from Houston to Brownsville.
Leo ordered & bought a special made Oshkosh Tractor and a Special made lowboy trailer to make this transfer to the Houston Ship Channel.
The Transfer was made in the cover of darkness after midnight.
This was the first of 3 such Boiler Vessels moved to Brownsville Texas 1949.
