As a young high school and college student, I didn't think much about the minimum wage... I knew I wanted a job and more money of course... but my economic and business knowledge was extremely limited. I felt obliged to touch base on the debate of minimum wage because once I acquired a bit more information on the topic, I realized this policy causes more harm than good. I wanted to dive into the fallacy of the minimum wage and of course point out the contradictory rhetoric of the LEFT that always pushes for it. I also would like to introduce you to the late, great Walter E. Williams. We will extrapolate on his informative documentaries Good Intentions and Suffer No Fools. Let's see exactly why he was strongly against the minimum wage and how these government interventions are always promoted as "anti-poverty devices" but actually do the exact opposite...especially for poor minority communities.
