It's not complicated. The organizers of Music Midtown were terrified that the permissive gun laws in Georgia would not protect potential mass murderers from lawfully armed citizens like Elisjsha Dicken.
Reports are vague on who made the determination to pull the plug on the long-running and popular event. What is not in doubt, however, is that SOMEONE has just taken millions of dollars out of the local economy and the pockets of local venues and vendors in the middle of Joe Biden's enforced recession.
