Happy New Year from Thrifty AV!

I have some resolution for 2020 that I would like to share with my viewers for the upcoming year, so here goes!

I want to give my viewers what YOU want. In fact, I have created a POLL for you to tell me what you would like to see more of on ThriftyAV. As always, I will be checking the comments on this vid to see any suggestions that you have!

#2. MORE Subscribers. I’m approaching the magic 1000 number which will qualify me for the Partnership Program, but I want to grow well beyond that. Nothing encourages me to create new content more than seeing the subscriber list grow and grow. So keep sharing the vids you like, and let you friends and family know about ThriftyAV.

#3 MORE Platforms. You can already find ThriftyAV here on YouTube, as well as at ThriftyAV.com, Facebook, Twitter, Instangram, and Patreon. This year I plan to start posting on Vimeo and Dailymotion, and doing more on Pintrist, and I want to make each platform haved some unique content that cannot be found on the other ones. If you have a suggested social media platform, let me know in the comments so I can create an account!

#4 MORE Reviews. Some of the most popular vids in my archive have been product reviews. If you have an idea of a product for me to review, I want to hear from you!

#5 GET Caught up. I have a long list of video ideas here that seems to be growing faster than I can create new content. For example, I have shot videos about VHS and DVD camcorders, but not my Super VHS-C, my Hi8, my Digital8, my Mini DV, or my first HD camcorder that recorded on a hard drive. I plan to cover all these formats and more over the upcoming months.

#6 Migrate to Davinci Resolve. Right now I do most my video editing with PowerDirector 15. Three versions of the software have been released since this version, so I could just upgrade, but I think I might like Davinci Resolve better, I certainly like the PRICE better.

#7 More thrift shopping road trips. I have an action cam to shoot these with, and they are some of the most fun videos I have done since launching ThriftyAV.

# 8 And finally, I want to do more comment response vids. There is so much great commentary on my vids that are deserving of video responses. Vids like this connect me more with YOU, my audience and enrich ThriftyAV even more.
