EMIT Diaphragm Stretching Experiment
This time we experiment with EMIT diaphragms. Emit uses a stretched kapton / mylar film and over time it relaxes and develops wrinkles in the diaphragms and in some cases making rattling noises when played. We read on-line many years ago how to attempt to fix this but never dared try it. Now that we have a couple blown diaphragms we are going to see if it works and bring you all along as we learn.
