It’s been said that our deepest desire is to be fully known AND fully loved. We are understandably afraid that if we are fully known, we won’t be fully loved. Or, if we are fully loved, it’s because we are not fully known. To be fully known and fully loved seems like a pie in the sky fantasy.

But Psalm 139:1-18 assures us that we are fully known and fully loved BY GOD.

The person who knows you the best doesn’t know you as well as God knows you. And the person who loves you the most doesn’t love you as much as God loves you. He knows you. He loves you. And nothing that he knows about you will ever cause him to abandon his love for you.
