The Biden Justice Department prosecuted former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress.

Citing President Trump asserting executive privilege, Bannon refused to show up for testimony after the January 6 Committee subpoenaed him.

Bannon became the first American convicted of contempt of Congress charges since 1948, demonstrating the political nature of his prosecution.

The night the jury handed down the guilty verdict, Bannon appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show for his first interview.
