South Korea, U.S., Japan to hold Pacific Dragon missile defense exercise

South Korea, the United States and Japan kick off a combined ballistic missile defense exercise in waters off Hawaii on Monday amid heightened security coordination against North Korea's military threats.

The exercise dubbed "Pacific Dragon" runs through August 14th.
Australia and Canada will also take part.

Joined by eight warships and two aircraft,... the drills are aimed at enhancing cooperation when it comes to detecting, tracking, and reporting ballistic missile targets.

"Pacific Dragon' was arranged by the defense chiefs of South Korea, the U.S. and Japan in June.
