Spalted Maple Vase/Sculpture | Amazing Woodworking Design

I came up with this vase/sculpture design because I wanted to create something I’ve never seen before. When people see this huge spalted maple vase on the fl I came up with this vase/sculpture design because I wanted to create something I’ve never seen before. When people see this huge spalted maple vase on the floor, it will make them look around the vase to see how it’s standing on it point. This was a fun piece to work with and I couldn’t have picked a better piece for this project. I had some difficulty carving into it with the Arbortech turbo planer, which is why I went ahead and hollowed out the vase with the chainsaw.
