Churches near archaeological sites often have several common characteristics...
The first is that they are usually quite old, dating back to the beginning of Christianity.
The second is a simple design, perhaps a product of its age.
The third is that they tend to "recycle" material from the ruins...

However, the church of Agia Foteini, in the Peloponnese breaks all those expectations...
