039: No City Code Enforcement?!? Really?

Unbelievably, the proposal to add a City Code Enforcement Officer was not a joke!
To make matters worse, the discussion to grow and expand the size of M-C government by adding another (un-budgeted) employee illustrates just how out of touch Mayor Short and what's become a bureaucrat-led city council truly is.
I'll show highlight's from Tuesday night's meeting where they actually began a campaign to try and convince citizen's that the city does not currently enforce the city code, which is CATEGORICALLY UNTRUE!
Despite this, there WERE some encouraging sparks of rational thinking from Mayor-Pro-Tem, Jim Bloom, Council-members Lorna Kipphut and Trudy Woesner, whose voices of skepticism were summarily quashed by the Mayor, Fire Chief (AKA Code Enforcement Officer), & City Attorney!
Without the votes necessary to pass the measure, the Mayor postponed this agenda item to next month's agenda where the push to occupy all the office space that the city hall building can hold with more bureaucrats will continue.
