Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Daisy Paige. Daisy is a name that suits her well; her angelic smile, kind eyes, and welcoming southern accent with an honesty to show her pure and true identity through her very raw, emotional and authentic story.

I had the honor and privilege to meet with Daisy prior to her podcast. I realized from her “guest registration” on my website, that I would definitely have her on as a guest. I sensed there was more to her story that was yet to be told. (There is always a story behind the story.)

As we chatted at this pre-meeting, I realized that my calendar was so booked, I wasn’t sure that I would be able to have her on until late September or October, 2022. She revealed with honesty and a sense of urgency that she didn’t have long to live. You see, Daisy was diagnosed with a terminal illness: MSA - Multi System Atrophy, a rare condition of the nervous system that causes gradual damage to nerve cells in the brain. Only 4 out of every 100,000 people in the USA are diagnosed with it. This affects balance, movement and the autonomic nervous system, which controls several basic functions, such as breathing, digestion and bladder control.

Daisy is the author of Unexpected Moments with the foreword written by Kirk Cameron (it was through a chance meeting that Kirk motivated her to write her book. She indeed was motivated and finally received his autograph - you just have to hear Daisy describe her encounter with him and of course the crush she had on him in her teen years!)

Throughout her book and with today’s podcast, every step of the way, she has been led by God through the pitfalls and horrible abuse she has been through. “God doesn't put you through more than what you can handle. I met Kirk Cameron and he motivated me to write a book because God told me my time was near but I had to tell my story from the beginning first.”
