This is a response video on incomparable world views, specifically discussing expressive individualism, Johnny Harris’ video “Why I Left the Mormon Church”, and the world view of Christianity in general, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints specifically. Johnny embraced the worldview of expressive individualism that put him at odds with the Christian faith. Then he moved from a place of being a religious majority to a minority, and he decided that a year’s worth of prayer and study was sufficient to get an answer from God. The biggest issue in my mind is that Johnny seems to believe that ‘self expression and self actualization’ can and should trump and be at odds with Obedience to God. To me it is obvious that if there is a God Who is our Heavenly Father, obedience to His commandments would be the only way to truly achieve self actualization.
