UN ready to "investigate" shelling of Yelenovka detention facility and then to condemn

The UN is ready to send a group of experts to investigate the shelling of the detention facility in DPR’s Yelenovka, UN Secretary General Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq said in a statement Saturday.

Haq stated the UN’s readiness to send a group of experts for an investigation, but added that it would require consent from all sides. He noted that the UN supports the initiatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Ukrainian forces fired 20 Grad rockets at the Kievsky District of Donetsk, the DPR mission to the Joint Ceasefire Coordination and Control Center reported Saturday.

According to the mission, the shelling took place at 16:56 local time.

Earlier, the mission reported numerous shellings of various districts of Donetsk with artillery, as well as Grad and Uragan rockets. According to the most recent information, one person was killed in Donetsk Saturday, while several were injured.
