1. The remains of a Chinese rocket could fall to Earth in the next few days, if not in the next few hours. In reality, no one knows exactly when or where.

Since China launched the Wentian module into space on July 24, it has spent less than a week in orbit. But part of the body of the B5 rocket will re-enter the Earth's atmosphere, researchers at The Aerospace Corporation reported.

The corporation specified that it is still too early to determine a significant waste footprint. Although most of it is expected to burn, large chunks will survive the fiery passage.

The Center for Orbital Reentry and Debris Studies of The Aerospace Corporation predicts that it could be between 5.5 and 9.9 tons.

China is convinced that they will fall into the ocean, and the margin for error is getting smaller as we get closer to the event.

2. Debris from a Chinese rocket is expected to crash to Earth in an uncontrolled re-entry this weekend.

The probability of it landing in any populated area is extremely low.

But it has raised questions about how different countries take responsibility for their space junk.

There have previously been calls by Nasa for the Chinese space agency to design their rockets to disintegrate into smaller pieces upon re-entry, as is the international norm.

Recent rockets heading to China's unfinished space station, known as Tiangong, have lacked the capability for a controlled re-entry.
