Tim Hortons has reached a proposed settlement in multiple class action lawsuits alleging the restaurant's mobile app violated customer privacy, but rather than a monetary return to those involved the affected users will receive a doughnut and a coffee.
The company says the settlement, negotiated with the legal teams involved in the lawsuit, still requires court approval.
But as Sean O'Shea reports, some customers say such a settlement feels more like a "slap in the face."
