Australian Wildfires: Arson or climate change? The usual suspects like Snopes, PolitiFact, and factcheck.org are working overtime to try and debunk the facts about the current Australian bush fires presented by outlets such as PraegerU and they are this according to experts on the ground in Australia: natural causes, accidental manmade causes, and intentional manmade causes. It seems they’re all in a panic over media reporting that 50% of the fires could be started by arsonists and are not caused by climate change! Let’s be clear, people like me support protecting our environment but spending trillions of dollars using “climate change” as the foundational reason just isn’t justified by current data and blatant attempts to “protect” the narrative by leftist outlets and factcheckers harms serious policy debate about how we protect our environment. Here’s the deal, Australia has had recent drought in the affected fire areas, which can increases wilderness area fueling loading, and increasing the chances of natural fires but the same can be said about poor forest management by human efforts can also cause increased incidence of wild fires by in creasing fuel load. Can’t we just stop the stupidity of defending a weak or false narrative and get serious about the issue at hand? What’s more important?
