This is one of the few songs that Jimi Hendrix did not write himself. It was recorded by The Troggs in 1965.
Jimi Hendrix was playing "Wild Thing" at the Monterey Pop Festival 1967 where he sets his guitar on fire.

Now Oldwolf Criss covers it, too, but he never sets his guitar on fire!
