This is a great example of how individual temperament dictates behavior more so than the breed. Darla, being low energy and very submissive, is not going to approach the bird in a predatory state of mind, even as a Dogo Argentino. She was more interested in trying to play than hunting it (of course, the turkey doesn't understand that canine body language). On the flip side, Gringo would have eaten some turkey ass because his instinctual prey drive is stronger. We're pretty sure this is a neighbor's turkey, so we didn't want to cause it any harm (just a spook).
