💸 Structuring: Why CBP Took Your Money @ Airport/Border, Cash Seizure ✈

A #structuring violation is when less than $10,000 is transported to avoid reporting the money to the U.S. #Customs & Border Protection with a #FinCen 105 form. If CBP seizes money for a structuring violation, they can keep more than half of the money. In this video, customs attorney Jason P. Wapiennik of Great Lakes Customs Law explains the structuring law and gives some examples of typical structuring.
