As Trump targets personal lawsuits and government investigations

Since October 2021, the RNC has paid nearly $2 million to law firms representing Trump as part of his defense against personal lawsuits and government investigations, the report said.

The official reportedly said Mr Trump stopped making payments as soon as he announced he was running for president because the party had a "policy of neutrality" and did not take sides in the presidential primaries.
