The Impeachment Saga is Over

The Senate, unsurprisingly, voted to acquit President Donald Trump of "abuse of power" and "obstruction of Congress." Anyone who is at all surprised by this has paid zero attention to the situation. This acquittal was a foregone conclusion ever since the Democrats decided to impeach the President over such minor offenses that were clearly politically motivated. If the Dems really wanted Trump out, they could've impeached him over his illegal war in Yemen. In short, Dems had no intention of removing Trump from office, they just wanted to appease their base.
