In a letter sent to European lawmaker Sophie in 't Veld, EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said Apple had told him in 2021 that his iPhone had possibly been hacked using spy software Pegasus, Reuters reported. Apple's warning triggered inspection of European Commission employees' phones. Though investigators didn't find conclusive proof of a hacking, they did find "indicators of compromise".
