Day 2 of Chicago Bears Training Camp is in the books and several things stood out at Halas Hall. Lucas Patrick left early on in practice with an undisclosed injury. He was able to walk off under his own power before a cart took him to the locker room. Rookie Doug Kramer stepped in as the starting center for Justin Fields after Patrick exited. It’s unclear what or how serious Patrick’s injury is. Elsewhere on the offensive line, Teven Jenkins was not present at today’s Bears practice. Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports he saw him before practice, but did not see him on the practice field. No announcement has been made regarding Jenkins status. CB Thomas Graham Jr. also missed today’s practice.

Bears’ WR Darnell Mooney spoke to the media following today’s Bears training camp practice and he believes the Bears offense is better now than it was at OTAs. Mooney and Cole Kmet made the two best plays of the day with downfield catches from QB Justin Fields. The Bears offense was up-and-down as a whole today as Fields made several nice downfield throws, but there were several drops and one tipped pass off N’Keal Harry’s hands that led to an Eddie Jackson interception. Kmet acknowledged that the offense still has some work to do. Bears’ OC Luke Getsy also expressed frustration at the drops while also being happy about plays being made by several wide receivers and tight ends. Will Fields and the Bears offense be ready by Week 1?
