An interview of Hon. Elizabeth Athanasakos, Grand President of the Daughters of Penelope from 1965-1966. The Daughters of Penelope is the oldest women's worldwide civil rights organization. The Daughters of Penelope was founded November 16,1929. She has marked many accomplishments and in this interview she shares some of her experiences.

The four branches of the AHEPA Family are the Order of AHEPA, Daughters of Penelope, Sons of Pericles, and the Maids of Athena.

AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Founded on July 26, 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, on the principles that under girded its fight for civil rights and against discrimination, bigotry, and hatred.

The Order of AHEPA has just celebrated its 100th anniversary marking a century of service.
