Maintaining your weapon lights and sights

Batteries, batteries, batteries. They need changed regularly. Even if you're not using the light or sight, it's good practice to change them annually or at least make sure they're fully charged.
My own routine is that anything that it's a good time to practice with the stuff until that battery set is dead. Obviously sight batteries these days often last WAY too long for that, but I still like to change them annually. A lot of those button cells are junk and the real capacity isn't anywhere near the theoretical one.
