Out Of The Blank #336 - Kate Flickinger (Ex Phys PhD Student, Emergency Med Researcher)

Kate Flickinger M.S. CPT is an emergency medicine researcher and PhD student by day, and health and fitness junkie by night. Her passion is asking “why, though?” Which is what led her to working towards her PhD- so that she can ask AND answer her own questions about functional outcomes after cardiac arrest. Her health and fitness inspirations are more personal. After falling into the “calorie counting, if it fits your macros, etc” fads, Kate learned that just because you’re “fit” doesn’t necessarily mean you’re healthy. For personal development she constantly dives into research about taking care of your body for life. As an ACSM certified personal trainer, works on herself and with others to find balance between looking and feeling like your best self.
