Ghost Fleet Offensive COLONIAL DEFENDER BSG Deadlock New Ship
Colonial Defender - Support Specialist
A support ship of Gemenese origin, the Defender is a mobile marine detachment platform. The Raptors from the Defender can both bolster the marine defence of friendly ships that have been boarded, and provide technical support to boost the strength of ally subsystems. We are very much in Blood & Chrome territory here with the timeline of this DLC.

The Defender Class gunstars were the largest gunstars deployed during the Cylon War and were an intermediate step between Battlestars and their smaller escorts. Fitted with a single (shortened) flight pod, they were essentially thru-deck cruisers and were used as “maids-of-all-work” during the First Cylon War. Defenders served as convoy escorts and training ships, then embarked shuttles and landing craft and served ably as make-shift amphibious assault ships, tenders, and even on one occasion, as a hospital ship. Following the Cylon War, the Defenders were gradually decommissioned and scrapped, but a small number were demilitarized (stripped of their weapon mounting hard-points) and found their way into civilian service.

The people of the Twelve Colonies believe that Colonial forces are keeping the Cylon threat in check. Truth is, the Ministry of Defense loses ground every day. Under Atropos’ command, Cylon attacks have become precise and terrifying. Perfectly timed ambushes designed to cripple communications and logistics. Efficient and methodical. Commander Nash and the crew of the Galactica have to keep up the claim of the good fight, never revealing how close the people back home are to the knife’s edge. Meanwhile, Admiral Sarkis has one last plan that could finally bring this war to an end or doom them all. It is time to activate the Ghost Fleet Offensive.
