043: EXPOSED- The Race for County Commissioner

Today's show highlights the Precinct 3 race for Rockwall County Commissioner between incumbent Dennis Bailey and businesswoman Jennie Barker.

It's no secret that Bailey is no friend to the paltry voting block  of McLendon-Chisholm or to conservative-minded Rockwall County taxpayers, but voters will be shocked to learn that according to the Rockwall County Appraisal District, Bailey apparently lives in a barn!

This is no joke!

While all other homes in Rockwall County are taxed as residential dwellings, since 2004 when he purchased it, the tax records demonstrate that Bailey has been paying a fraction of the taxes that he should be if the dwelling were taxed like everybody else!

I'll show you the CAD filings as proof!

I'll highlight Bailey's pivotal role in building the new county courthouse, a monument to excess, despite voters twice rejecting the project.

I'll show how Bailey got the Commissioners Court to spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on land for an emergency radio tower when the County could have put it on public property that would have cost taxpayers nothing.

Despite the fact that he doesn't appear to be paying his fair share in taxes, has been raising your taxes, has been spending taxpayer funds on projects unnecessarily, and just gave himself a 23% pay-raise,  Bailey is running as a conservative!

I'll also highlight Jenny Barker, the woman that is trying to put an end to the "good ol' boy" structure of County government by running as a fiscal conservative.
