Voters to decide whether Western Lakes Fire District gets $6.3M to address firefighter shortage

The Western Lakes Fire District says staffing shortages are endangering public safety. On Aug. 9, voters in seven municipalities will decide whether they’re willing to pay more property taxes to hire more first responders.
