Mindfulness is a means to maximize physical, emotional, and mental health, as well as the ability to perceive reality in a more objective manner that gives one more freedom and discernment.
The typical American for example spends far too much time in the sympathetic, fight or flight, state that produces anxiety which saps energy and leads to poor decision making, among other bad outcomes.
Nasal breathing brings one into the parasympathetic, tones the vagus nerve, and allows one to detach from useless thoughts and convos, both internally and externally.
To follow science, one needs to think scientifically which means skeptically and critically… in other words rationally and sanely.
