The Sims 3: third [failed] draft of our house (Part One)

The first two attempts are contained in one video I made several months ago. Here, I have started a completely new one for the third time (well, actually, a clone of the second one). Trying to make a house on a (fake) foundation, stairs to the bottom floor from the main floor and functional casement windows in the basement walls has failed yet again.
