Flower growers of Gadkhali and Panisara Unions of Jhikargachha Upazila of Jessore increase their flower production by focusing on some special festival days of the year. Gadkhali Bazar in Jessore district is well known as the flower capital of Bangladesh. The flowers brought to Gadkhali are cultivated on about 4,000 bighas of land in 90 villages of Jhikargachha and Sharsha police stations, 25 km from Jessore. The villages of Jhikargachha and Sharsha police stations have to be mesmerized by the combination of red, blue, yellow, purple and white flowers on the horizon.
