Taiwan Air Raid Drill 🇹🇼 (2022-07)

The annual Wanan air defense exercise has been held in different areas across Taiwan between July 25-28, with civilians required to shelter in place during the drills. Air raid sirens got off at 13:30 to signal the start of the 30-minute drills. The drill this year is aimed at raising public awareness of emergency warnings to reduce the possibility of casualties and damage if air attacks do take place. Most vehicular road traffic and pedestrian movement are suspended, as it is usually done during Taiwan's air raid drills, while some people have received a text message on their phone notifying them about an air attack drill. Metro services, freeway traffic, and aircraft flights do operate normally, but disembarked passengers had to follow instructions from evacuation personnel.
