The Performative Political Divide: Woke vs Based

Society is split along the political divide.

The two cultural sides that have split the world can be referred to as Woke and Based. But Woke and Base can be boiled down to a rift between performative allyship vs performative logic.

Today I will be telling you my stances through this political commentary and social commentary video on the political divide.

Allyship and performative wokeness lead to performative activism. But the alt right are no better. Uninformed based meme-ing and illogical arguments lead to false morality. With cancel culture and censorship on the rise the tension between the sides is only increasing. Confusion over people's places in the political compass is resulting in further divide as generalizations and harsh stereotyping of moral beliefs result in both sides refusing to have a rational conversation. (If you're confused, watch to my "the political compass explained" portion of the video.)

So what does based mean? Is being based a good thing?
Is being woke allyship? Are social media sites a place for civil conversation?

Stay tuned to find out.
