My Alternator died the other day. During replacement I noticed a melted wire. The 12V positive sense wire melted. This is an always on hot wire. The melted wire looked good. Just the outside plastic was melted. I decided to repair the wire with shrink wrap. The truck is charging again. If you are going to have one of these truck you should get a replacement alternator at a local parts store with lifetime warranty. These trucks are very hard on alternators. If you buy one on amazon the return process might be a headache.
